Originally hailing from the mountains of Colorado, Alex Floyd received her BFA in Dance Performance in 2011 from the University of Wyoming. Trained in every style of dance, Alex performed and choreographed works for the American College Dance Festival, and spent seven years training at the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Summer Institute.
Alex participated on scholarship in the AXIS Summer Dance Program which inspired her to open new dance doors. Upon moving to Los Angeles, California, Alex started her own modern dance company, OdDancity, which has performed in the numerous festivals including the MixMatch Dance Festival 2012-2014, Dancespot at Studio A biannually, and the Awakenings and Beginnings Dance Festival 2013-2015, Friends and Family Dance Festival 2013-2015, and Pasadena Dance Festival 2015. She created her first LA based full length work, BedHead, which premiered October 2013, and is working on her second full length, Intrinsick, a psychological dance thriller. Alex hopes to grow OdDancity into full bloom around mass audiences like an audacious flower.
