Andrew Pearson is a contemporary dancer and movement artist with an eclectic training in modern dance and ballet based techniques. He is a graduate of the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine, where he received BFA’s in both dance performance and choreography.
Andrew has performed works by internationally recognized choreographers Donald McKayle, Loretta Livingston, David Allan, John Jasperse, Lar Lubivitch, Barak Marshall, Matteo Levaggi, and Ryan Heffington. His choreography has been commissioned by Collabo Youth Ensemble, Santa Monica College’s Synapse Dance Theater, Orange County School of the Arts, and the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company. He has also twice presented work in the Pasadena Dance Festival, and In 2012, Mr. Pearson was invited to curate an evening of dance for Highways Performance Space’s BEHOLD! series where he premiered 3 new works. Most recently Andrew spent time in Europe, taking class in London, Holland, and Berlin, as well as working for Julien Previeux’s exhibit at the Fiac Art Fair in Paris as a collaborator for the award winning work What Will They Do Next. Mr. Pearson is also an accomplished teacher, and has taught master classes, company classes, and conservatory classes all over Southern California.
